Syncrony (PTY) Ltd has been going since 1999.
It was established initially as a web development house by Dr Howard Rybko. The initial strategy was to build a web builder tool which would make it easy for companies to update and maintain their websites.
In early 2003 Howard chanced upon a web project called DotNetNuke. The new web content management system excited many developers and the system started to spread quickly. Howard decided to "bet the company on DotNetNuke" and in so doing abandoned the Syncrony Web Development Tool. This system had been in development for 3 years and cost well over a million Rand in development effort.
Since 2004 Syncrony has built all its internet facing web sites exclusively on the DotNetNuke (DNN) platform. We also embarked on the development on a full function Accounting System for office automation dealers using DNN. These systems are still in production today.
Syncrony also won the first worldwide DNN Skin Competition in 2005/6.
We have done many integration and custom software development projects using DNN as a base since 2003.
Syncrony has in the process developed deep DNN integration skills covering: system architecture, look & feel and skin design as well as functionality development using DotNetNuke.
We continue to be excited and enthusiastic about using the system!
